Simone ZIGNOLI and Yamaha undertook a jet ski crossing from Culuccia to Genoa, linking it to a fundraiser for the No plastic in the Ocean project of the One Ocean Foundation non-profit organization.
SP PLAST Creating has for years been supporting a lot of initiatives linked to solidarity actions aimed at environmental improvement in a climate of complete sustainability. Among the latest challenges, the one faced by Simone Zignoli, a motorcyclist who with a Yamaha jet ski tackled a solo tour of Sardinia that ended with his arrival at the Genoa Boat Show. The LifeGate project took place in Genoa with the installation of a device and in Alghero with the adoption of a Seabin to collect microplastics and return cleaner water. In the spirit of the battle for the defense of the sea and nature, the protagonist of this long tour completely immersed himself in the environment, sleeping on the beaches, feeding on what he found, meeting communities closely linked to the territory and facing numerous unforeseen events. SP PLAST and XPP Seven have supported this adventure by providing a Seabin, a floating bin that sucks up and collects waste from the water, including microplastics. Especially effective in areas such as ports, where debris accumulates, it can capture more than 500 kilos of waste per year.
